Ms. Rehab graduated with a first class honour degree bachelor in Pharmacy from the University of Khartoum in 2008. During her undergraduate studies she was awarded Faculty prizes for the second best academic performance in her 3rd, 4th and 5th year of study. In 2012 Ms. Rehab was awarded a Master degree in Molecular Medicine from the Institute of Endemic Diseases, University of Khartoum and won an award for having the best M.Sc. research project. Her M.Sc. partial fulfilment research project was entitled "Comparative Modeling of Serotonin Receptors 5ht2a and 5ht2c and In-silico Investigation of their Potential as Off-target to Ethinylestradiol". Ms. Ahmed’s PhD study will be revolving around understanding the nature of the host-pathogen interaction of Giardia and mining the relevant OMICS data for therapeutic targets.
