Ms. Ahmed graduated with B. Sc. (Honors) First Class in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Khartoum (Specialization: Control and Instrumentation), Graduation Project: "A Network-based Surveillance System for the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Engineering, including requirement analysis, design and implementation" (2010). She had been awarded Master of Science (MSc) in Cybernetics with distinction from the University of Reading, UK (2013), Graduation project: "A Modular control interface for agent elements in power systems (MAS energy management solution)". Ms. Ahmed has the following technical skills: Programming: Visual Basic ,Pascal, C/C++, C# , x86 assembly language, Matlab & Simulink; Multi-Agent Systems programming: Netlogo; Web site programming: Adobe Dreamweaver, front page, Microsoft-word; Database Management Systems: MySQL, Microsoft SQL server. Ms. Ahmed’s PhD study will be revolving around developing novel statistical methods and mathematical modeling for the data analysis of the genome wide association studies (GWAS), next generation sequencing (NGS) and the integration and interaction of the biological networks.
