1. Introduction to Genomic Medicine for Nurses in Africa

The African Genomic Medicine Training Initiative (AGMT) is proud to announce a call for applications for a distance learning/online short genomic medicine course designed for nurses in Africa. The purpose of this course is to provide genomics and genetics education to nurses based in Africa. The course will emphasize the practical application of content into learners’ current settings and roles. 2. Introduction to Bioinformatics (IBT) for 2017

The course aims to provide an introduction to the field of bioinformatics, with a focus on important bioinformatic tools, and resources. The course aims to use a combination of theoretical and practical sessions in order for participants to gain practical experience in using various tools and resources. The course is aimed at individuals from a molecular biology background who have a basic understanding of biochemistry and/or genetics and would like to become bioinformatics users. The course is proposed to start in April 2017 and will run for approximately 3 months with 2 days (4 hours/day) of contact time per week. 24 April 2017 - 4 August 2017 in Tuesdays and Thursdays.
